1061 Spital Road, Coldbrook, NS From Truro take the 102S towards Halifax. Take Exit 4B to merge on to the 101W towards Windsor. Continue on 101W to Exit 14 and turn left onto #1W towards Coldbrook. Travel past Scotian Gold on the right, Sherwood Forest Campground on the left. (Hobby Horse Farm is less than 5 km at this point.) After the set of lights continue until you see a new board fence on the right, Spital road (dirt road) is on the left just at the gap in the fence. Travel along Spital road until you see a sharp bend towards the left and the Hobby Horse Farm sign straight ahead. Turn right onto the driveway of the farm. You will see the farmhouse on your right with a paved circular driveway and the barn straight ahead, there is a dirt circular driveway in that barnyard. If parking in the sand arena, keep to the right of the barn and pull into the arena. Judging is done in the sand arena to the left so please park on the right. If parking in the grass pasture (limited space, intended for the larger rigs staying for the weekend), keep to the right.

Description / Notes:

CTR sanctioned for between 25-35 miles, will update ride calendar when measurements are confirmed. Ride Management and the extraordinary Valley Ride Committee are thrilled to host this ride at the beautiful Hobby Horse Farm in Coldbrook, NS.

Entries and payment are sent to RM/Secretary Carrilee, must be received by 9 pm TBD - any entries received after the cut off of TBD are subject to the late fee.
eTransfers are preferred for entry as well as for any refunds - refunds are on a case by case basis.

Judging should start at 9 am Saturday, hopefully 8 am Sunday.
Awards/placings will be announced just before the meal, assuming master scoresheets are complete and ready for viewing. Enjoy drinks and snacks while you wait!

There is plenty of room for tents, trailers and pens. We'll have a volunteer to help with parking and fingers crossed, a map to post ahead of time.

There are 16-18 stalls available for rent - bring your own hay and bedding or arrange with Hobby Horse Farm to purchase straw. Leave stalls clean when you leave, of course!
If penning at your trailer, please clean around your trailer. There are also paddock options. Paddock and penning areas must be left as you found it, or cleaner. There are wheelbarrows and a manure trailer at the front of the barn.
For the humans, we are lucky to have access to the farmhouse where there are 8 bedrooms to rent for $35, bring your own bedding.
Arrangements for both horse and humans are made (and paid for!) directly with Leslie Wade at 902-679-4538 or email dfuller@ns.sympatico.ca

Please indicate on your entry if you are travelling with another horse & rider and the size/length of your rig in order to help us plan for parking.

meals:
Supper and breakfast will be provided both Saturday and Sunday for riders and Ride With Skye volunteers, extra supper meals for fans are $10 which we appreciate being paid on the morning of the ride or when registering. Please indicate on your entry if you don't intend to stay for supper otherwise we include everyone. In 2019, we had fewer people stay so we all ate leftovers for the next week! Riders are on their own for lunch. There will be post-ride snacks for all in the sunroom. The fridge in the sunroom will have water and other drinks for you to grab for supper. Spindrift Brewery provided some treats for us in 2019! Please keep all food/drinks in dining/kitchen areas or outside. This includes water bottles. We will try to offer something for everyone with low/no sugar, non-meat, keto-friendly items and we'll have use of the kitchen if you prefer to bring your own meals.
